The Ukrainian Institute of
presents
In November the Ukrainian Institute of America will honor the memory of one of the greatest sons of Ukraine, the writer Mykola Hohol, (known to the world as Nikolai Gogol) with a series of events which will highlight the impact his work has had on the world culture. Of equal importance to Ukrainian and Russian literatures, in his writings, Hohol has transcended linguistic, geographical, and genre barriers, influencing many generations of artists in various fields and foreshadowing some of the most radical movements of the Twentieth Century.
